This week is Seachtain Na Gaeilge in the school. The children are busy preparing songs and dances to perform together. Shoe the donkey and The Walls of Limerick are echoing around the school and the sonas and spraoi is all around the school. The children will play cluichí cláir, listen to stories, do a trá na gceist and take part in a whole school céilí.
This week was also busy for the boys and girls soccer and football teams. One of the girls soccer teams and the boys football team won their matches and have progressed to the next stage of the competitions. Well done to all the boys and girls and to Mr. Buckley their coach.
The children in 1st and 2nd class were painting their pots of gold in preparation for St. Patrick’s Day. They put lots of effort into their painting and they have created lovely work.
