On Friday, the children were so excited to 'rock their socks' in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day. We stood in a circle and each child took turns to jump into the centre to describe their socks. One of the Junior Infant girls informed the class that some children with Down Syndrome communicate using Sign Language. She then taught us how to say 'hello' and 'thank you' and the words 'orange', 'blue', 'cow', 'dog' and 'cat' in Sign Language!
