Last week, we learned all about the different types of weather (raining, snowing, foggy, sunny, cloudy, windy and stormy) and made a cut-and-paste record of what the weather was like each day. This week, we had so much fun getting into role as meteorologists and taking turns to present the weather forecast. We used our new vocabulary (hail, heavy rainfall, high temperatures etc.) while sticking the weather symbols onto a map of Ireland. We made sure to add in some humour such as (tie down your trampoline!/it'll be raining cats and dogs!) to keep the audience interested. Thanks to one of the Junior Infant boys for bringing in a microphone to make the lesson even more realistic.
