Junior Infants and Senior Infants have been learning about 2D shapes. They have been very good at making 2D shapes, naming them, describing them and even discovering that putting more than 1 square beside each other can make a different shape called a rectangle! Some of the children even began using QR codes on our ipads to play shape games.
We are also beginning to explore Universal Design for Learning (UDL) — a new approach we are trying out in our classroom. We are learning how to use it to help every child access learning in different ways, whether through hands-on activities, technology, or creative play.
