The boys hurling and the girls camogie competition continued in earnest today Wednesday at a glorious Kilcloon GAA setting. Our thanks to Michael and all the team at Blackhall Gaels for always accommodating us with pitch requests.
The boys were up first in a must win game against Gaelscoil Eanna. Very little separated the teams at the break in a rip-roaring first half but Gaelscoil Eanna powered on in the second half to win.
Great credit to the team who never gave up and again, it was fantastic to see such interest in the competition and the turnout at training.
The girls were up against Gaelscoil na Mí and gave another terrific account of themselves. The girls gave it everything as always and battled right until the end. Great numbers taking part and this augurs well for future participation in the competition. Fantastic team effort again.
One game left for the girls next Thursday as things stand against Dangan.
