Building Rapunzel a tower
Junior Infants and Senior Infants have been thoroughly enjoying Science Week and building on our STEM skills — exploring science, technology, engineering and maths through creativity and teamwork.
This week’s challenge was to design and build a tower for Rapunzel using only recycled materials. The children worked in groups and used wonderful imagination and problem-solving skills to create structures that were not only strong and stable, but full of character.
Their magnificent towers included everything from galleries, kitchens, bedrooms and cosy living spaces to clever additions like launch towers for protection and defence. Each group brought unique ideas to life, showing fantastic creativity and engineering thinking.
We are very proud of their teamwork, innovation and enthusiasm throughout the project!
