On Friday last, author Ruth McDonnell visited the school and read for all classes. In 5th and 6th Class, she read "Ruairi's Dancing Rainbows", a inspirational story of love and devotion.
It was enlightening to hear Ruth speak so passionately about being an author and of her topic choices over the years and the children enjoyed a fabulous discourse with her, asking well thought of and mature questions.
It was a real thrill to speak to someone who has published books and Ruth took us through the process of publishing books and working with illustrators.
