🧪 A Special Science Week Visit to 3rd & 4th Class

14th Nov 2025

A huge thank you to Miss Kearns, who organised and prepared our whole-school Science Week activities. As part of the celebrations, she kindly invited our Junior and Senior Infants to visit the Third and Fourth Class room on Friday morning, where the boys and girls presented their own science experiments.

This was the highlight of the week for the infants—they absolutely loved it!

They got to see an amazing range of experiments, including:
• floating eggs and floating pins
• a bubble maker
• a homemade speaker
• lava lamps
• sugar crystals
• dancing raisins
• and even snowmen made from baking soda and conditioner

The children were fascinated watching the older classes demonstrate their science work, and it was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to learn from one another.

It was a brilliant morning and a wonderful way to finish off Science Week. Well done to all the young scientists in 3rd and 4th Class, and thank you again to Miss Kearns for making it such a memorable experience!
